Picara Baby Carriers was created in 2002 by a single mother to fill her need for fashionable, functional and comfortable baby carriers.
Like you, I wanted a more stylish and versatile baby carrier than the ones that are typically commercially available. So I set out to design a comfortable, fashionable take on the baby carrier. Our slings, mei tais and wraps have evolved over the years to offer great style, great value and great comfort.
Our ring slings are made from the finest quality natural fabrics with
heavy-duty aluminum rings from Sling Rings for added peace of mind and security. Ring slings are unpadded, open tail design with a large velcro close pocket on the tail. Our mei tais are made from high quality twills with a fashion front and solid colored backing and straps. Our baby wraps are a unique single directional stretch rib knit that offers great support for baby and great comfort for the parent. Currently our slings and mei tais are available in organic fabrics and the wraps will have an organic option soon.
